Village Strings is a traditional music group composed of musicians from southeastern Michigan. Although the hammered dulcimer is the featured instrument, a variety of other instruments are also played—mountain dulcimer, autoharp, dulciborn, lapjo, mandolin, fiddle, harmonica, penny whistle, concertina, tambourine, spoons, banjo, banjola, guitar and bass. Most of the
musicians are known for playing 2 or more different instruments. The group was started in 2008 and has performed many venues, often in vintage style dress.

Village Strings plays a delightful mix of Traditional, Celtic, Irish, Scottish and Folk music that keeps the tradition alive and will make you want to stomp your feet, clap your hands and even dance a jig.
