I have gone in a more Indie & Improv direction. I have a very wide, eclectic taste. The same with violin.
I used to play with Echoes in the Park (local drumming circle), and used to be in a duet... we'd do some classic rock covers with our own twist and add some poetry. I also have performed solo at poetry slams - this means I write my own lyrics - and can belt out some vocals as well as sweeten up some lighter sounds.
** I also have sung and played violin with a Spanish Catholic choir for a year, and lately done Kirtan with friends - this is a Hinduistic devotional type of song.
