My theory is to have the musician serve the music and I try to play what's necessary to make the band sound good. Bass players who can also sing can be somewhat rare but vocals are one of my strong points. I have a great ear for harmony. I can be a strong backup vocalist but can also sing lead.

My favorite bass players are those who can sing and that begins with some of the strongest bass/vocalist I can think of like Paul McCartney, Chris Squire (Yes), Timothy B. Schmit (Eagles), and Peter Cetera (Chicago), and Geddy Lee (Rush).
