Honestly, I'm just a lifelong musician who's let adulthood take performance from her and is ready to get back to it by starting a ska band. ????
I had been in community jazz bands and choirs since forever, performed on two children's albums that my mom wrote as a kid, played in a saxophone quartet for community events and recorder quartet for the renaissance faire, blah blah blah. But adulthood and its myriad of sh*t happened and when I sold my sax years ago I knew it was over.
That's fu*king dumb, though. I'm thirty now and I've made myself some time (I have no money, but I've made time) and not only do I need to perform again, I would like something new.
If anyone likes a boisterous bunch of horns and a two-tone beat, hit me up. I just want to jam and have fun. Be silly and make our own music. Cover our favorite songs. Play local gigs. I'm looking to sing because I love doing it, but also because, as mentioned before, I no longer own a saxophone...
