ABOUT

All messages from this site go to my mom.

I am a female vocalist. I began vocal lessons at the age of 12 in WA. At that time I was told by my instructor that I was a natural talent and quick learner. I only had Katie as my teacher for a few months then moved back to PA with my mom, Wendy. She wanted to get me back into voice instruction right away, however, finances didn't allow for it.

In 2015 we had a bit of good fortune and I was able to enroll in a local School of Rock. I spent one season (3 months) in their Performance program. I had a great time learning and performing. I had never been onstage front and center before that experience. I got over my stage fright. I wanted to try out for their house band. The instructors were looking forward to having me audition and then hard times fell upon my mother and me once again.

With the encouragement of my mother and School of Rock instructor Nick Catanese, former rhythm guitarist for Black Label Society, I am here. I'm not good at rating myself. My mother thinks I'm fabulous! But, we wanted a professional musicians opinion. (See Influences)

Influences

This is how the text conversation went between my mother and Nick Catanese (Formerly of Black Label Society...

Mom: Hey Nick, Kayleigh’s mom here. She was wondering what your opinion is of her vocal talent.

Nick C: “For real? She’s awesome! She has the soul and feels and you can tell she loves to sing.”

Mom: The reason we are asking is that she really wants to get into a band or perform in some way and make some money and have fun.

Mom: Can we quote you on this?
-Nick C- “Do it!”

That's all I needed to be sure. So, here I am.

Give me a shot. We look forward to hearing from you.

I have always loved music and it truly started when I was very little.
I started singing and I couldn't stop.
My mom was a large influence always pushing me, School of Rock for helping me get some confidence in myself, and the many artists that I love to listen to.
Thank you all.
