I am only 14, but have a huge passion for music. I want to start a band, but no one in my family supports me because of the image I want to create, and the genre I love.
Music saved my life, and I want my band to do the same. I want my lyrics to bring hope to someone who listens to them. I can do Screamo and I write it, but it is mixed in with lyrics. Whenever I get to put on a show, I want to give the audience the best time of their life, or at least one that will never leave their mind.
The image I'd want for my band is my own way of Black Veil Brides (2011). In leather, all black, piercings and tattoos once I come of age of course. Black Hair. Of course, just because that's the base of the image, it'll always be who I am. I'm never a copy.
The story behind my band name 'Ten Fathers':
My dad is never there, he's working and providing for his family. And even when he is being 'dad', he doesn't understand who I am, the same goes for my mom. My mom on the other hand, is so busy being our homeschooling teacher, that she isn't really mom anymore. The bands I listen to have become my...surrogate parental figures you could say. For my band name, I counted my favorite band members of my bands, and came up with the name. The people included in this list are; Andy Biersack, Kellin Quinn, Oliver Sykes, Mitch Lucker, Vic Fuentes, Mike Fuentes, Tony Fuentes, Jaime Preciado, Juliet Simms, and Hayley Williams. Now I know you're thinking-"Some of those are girls!"-but those are the people who mean the most to me and 'Ten Fathers' is easier than saying 'Ten Fathers and Two Mothers'.
