ABOUT

Hey there! My name is Kevin and I am a songwriter/guitarist looking for a vocalist to join my alternative project. I have 10 songs written with all of the instrumentation (guitars/bass/drums/midi) finished, but we still need to write the vocals/lyrics, in which you could either take on that role by yourself or write them together with me, whichever is most comfortable for your writing style.

I've recorded a 5-song demo and intentionally chose songs that are stylistically different from each other in order to show you my range of writing style and influence, but they all generally have an alternative vibe, so they still work well together in this project. I’m also in the process of recording the final 5 song demos which should be completed within the next month or two.

I would consider my music to generally be alternative with a bit of a leaning towards rock, pop, and progressive genres depending on the song. I also like to use some electronic beep boops in my music for added texture. Some of my favorite bands and influences are Incubus, Mutemath, Dead Letter Circus, Karnivool, A Perfect Circle, Closure in Moscow, The Receiving End of Sirens, Muse, Tesseract, and Dream Theater.

With the whole pandemic going on, the current goal is to find our vocalist and start writing the vocals and lyrics while the other members practice their parts on their own time to prepare for practices once that seems viable. Then once that’s finished we can get this project moving ahead to practice our parts together as a group, professionally record the album, and then start playing shows/touring (again, within reason considering the pandemic).

I also want it to be known that even though I wrote the instrumentation for these 10 songs, I don't intend for this project to only be centered around me or written by me for future material. I very much enjoy the idea of collaborating with others and creating something greater than what only my mind can create, but worst case scenario I am comfortable with taking the lead on future song writing if necessary.
