My name is KC Chann. I am a 28 year old professional drummer / multi-instrumentalist / producer based in Philadelphia, PA.
I started playing drums as an infant and began formal lessons at the age of 4. I could read drum music before I could read english, and I usually practice to a click track. I have extensive experience performing live with click/samples. I also sing, play guitar, bass, and piano/keyboards.
I like all types of music and am open to learn and try new things. I grew up playing classic rock/blues/jam with my father and his friends. I have also performed with, recorded with, and/or produced various original pop, rock, blues, heavy metal, reggae, latin, jazz, and hiphop projects.
My most recent long-term live performance project (2011-2014) was a Top 40s pop / dance / rock / hiphop cover band called "Fame and Fortune". The band worked with one of the area's top agency's and performed consistently (100+ performances / year) in the Philadelphia Region's top Casinos, Venues, and Private events!
I was also the weekly house-band drummer for the Tuesday night Jams at "The Legendary Dobbs" in Philadelphia until the venue's recent closing. This was an incredible experience and I played and performed with countless artists of varying genres.
I currently teach drums at M&M Music (Vineland, NJ), The Music Place (West Berlin, NJ), and Forge Recording Studios (Oreland, PA).
Available for professional live and studio situations.
