Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Background Singer.

Writing this as of December 23, 2020: what a crazy year!
I had joined a rock/pop band for a couple years (2015-2017) playing in bars and special gigs.

However, after a number of years doing some soul-searching and playing at other churches (2010-2016) I'm back at my home church in Comstock Park, Mi. since the Fall of 2017 as the music director, worship leader, sound / video / computer / IT tech and whatever else comes up in the worship ministry area.
As of this writing I'm in need of ANYONE interested in volunteering to help with any area listed above. If you are a worship leader or music director, musician (all instruments), DJ, sound tech, or video tech we need you !!
We have no hang ups with where a person is at in their faith. We want to meet you where you are. We do not require that a person be a member of our church but we do require a love of God, of people and that you believe Jesus died for us on the cross and rose 3 days later to save us of our sins. Lastly, that you want to use your talents to inspire and edify others.
If this sounds like something you'd like to be involved in and be a part of please, do not hesitate to call, write, text, send carrier pigeon or smoke signals. See my contact info in the Influences section
Many blessings and thanks for reading this far

Got into music in 1966. Started out at tender age of 6 yrs on drum kit. Learned to play the kit listening to all the greats of 50's, Motown, (what is now considered) classic rock and country.

Played in concert band (trumpet, percussion) in junior high school, switched to choir in high school. Was in a few jam bands throughout those years playing drum kit.

Started learning guitar at 18 ('79) while still at home in Mi. Moved to Lubbock Tx. in 1982 (home of Buddy Holly!!).
Got serious about guitar and played in several different bands from 1985 - 1998. Learned tons about playing with others in a band, how to play country swing and syncopation from so many AWESOMELY, talented individuals in Tx. I moved back to Michigan in '98 for a J-O-B and gigged for about a year and then stopped actively gigging until Nov. 2006.

Got involved in church (Nov 2006) started playing guitar and keyboard and later started leading worship. Contemporary Christian Music is interesting because its not stereotyped to one "style". It can have any genre of music (pop, rock, country, reggae, irish/celtic, rap/hip hop). No matter what the sound, its about worshiping the Lord and playing music that fills the heart and lifts the soul. Although, I do still love playing the "classics" (country and rock).

I practice on my own a lot, always working on songs or my technique and/or my tone.
I like to play all different types of music with no hangups about genre.
