ABOUT

Ok here is the short story. We need a serious bass player and drummer with pretty good skill. You don't have to be Lars Ulrich or Les Claypool but it would be good if you could play some of their stuff. We are looking for someone in their 20's or 30's who enjoy's playing a variety of songs in the rock/metal genre and wants to do this for the foreseeable future.

Now the long version.

Three of us have been playing on a casual basis for about a year now, two guitarists and a singer. We are all in our mid 30's and want to start playing serious, playing out. We have a small place to practice (with a built in small audience no less) and have equipment, though we might be looking to upgrade.

Some bands we currently cover are AIC, STP, Metallica, Puddle of Mudd, Van Halen, Creed, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Fuel, Nickelback, Bush, Lit, Foo Fighters, etc. Some bands we would like to do (with the right players that can play it), Tool, Korn, Filter, Helmet, Chili Peppers, Heavier Metallica (think Master of Puppets, Seek and Destroy, etc). We have a 300 watt PA (on the old side) basic drum set and a bass that we jam on if need be but of course your own equipment would be better.

We are looking to start off rehearsing, with the goal to play out at local clubs, or wherever it takes us. We are also looking at possibly squeezing in some originals as well but want to get the band playing as a tight unit first.
We practice currently once a week, every week, and will probably stay around that number for some time.
