A subtle fusion of a widely ranging musical influences, suburban Detroit's Kedder Avant is literally the culmination of a dream. Lead singer David Grammer's soul-searching yet oftentimes light-hearted vocals and rhythm guitar, deeply rooted in garage and indie rock, is complemented by the funky stylings of bassist Aaron Barbee, Greg Smith's shoegaze-tinged dreamy guitar leads and headbang-worthy snare pounding by drummer Tony Archer. Throw in Jimmy Morris on drunken hillfolk afterparty and a sound is derived covering a auditory terrain as diverse as it is lush.
