ABOUT

Keeping the Peace is a four-piece rock-n-roll band that plays covers and originals at clubs and events in and around Tucson. We're experienced musicians in our 40s and 50s with day jobs and plenty of equipment. We're basically just out to have fun, but we're an ambitious bunch so having fun means always sounding our best and continuously looking for ways to improve. We like to practice once or twice a week and to perform paying gigs two or three times a month. The band was started 4 years ago by Tom the drummer and Kevin the bassist. Most of our repertoire is covers, but we also play a set of original songs written by our singer Louis.

We are currently looking to fill a vacancy in the position of lead guitarist/backup vocalist. Applicants must exhibit a mastery of rock-n-roll guitar, have a strong voice, and the ability to work and play well with others. We are looking for a versatile and engaging lead guitarist first, but one who is also an exceptional backup vocalist. The ideal candidate will be experienced, with a confident and dynamic presence on-stage, and a professional and respectful attitude off-stage. We're taking a break to audition guitar players but we're ready to jump back into the rotation as soon as we find the right person to round out the group.

If you think you might be this person then call Tom the drummer at 307-6244.
