Hello, my name is Keith Martin and I am the Minister of Music at Mount Carmel Baptist Church located at 903 3rd Street NW in Washington DC. We are looking for a skilled and committed drummer to join our music ministry. We will be auditioning prospective drummers for the position during the month of January 2022.
The audition would include a musician rehearsal on Saturday at 1pm and immediately following, a choir rehearsal from 2pm-3pm. The morning service is virtual and the drummer candidate would be expected to arrive to the church on Sunday morning for sound check at 9am with the service stating at 10am and ending around 11:30am.
We are looking at securing 2 drummers to handle the weekly services. You would be expected to play for 2-3 Sundays per month. There is an opportunity to play every Sunday but that is being discussed currently by the music team and depends on your availability.
A $150 honorarium will be paid for the audition an if selected your salary will be negotiated at a rate according to your skill set and experience.
