ABOUT

Just moved back from 2 years in Reno. Stayed active playing up there. Healthy, sober, 59. RF field telecommunications for professional job. Studies in acoustics and mixing. Reads notation, have some music theory and writing. Looking to jam, perform, create, record and/ or all of the previous. Screw headtrips, drugs, alcohol abuse and irresponsibility. It needs to be fun, wide open and have a pulse. Open to most styles of music minus polkas, line dance music, or any situation where a manic depressive is telling me how to play. I love to play for money and put on a great sounding and visual show. It has always been about the fun and passion, it always will be.

Influences

John Bonham, Phil Rudd, Charlie Watts, Keith Moon, Mitch Mitchell Neil Peart, Dave Weckl. Motown, Blues, modern jazz , Boston, Journey, Jon Bonamassa, Rush, Tool., Beatles. The 26 rudiments, anything with a good foot and feel really
Do listen to a lot of newer jazz, progressive rock, classic rock R& B. Like: Albert Collins, Butterfield blues band, Old Fltwd Mac, The Allman Brothers band was great. SRV, 10 Years after, Frank marino, BOC, AC/DC, Older U2 ,Van Halen, Motley Crue, Godsmack, XTC. Really enjoy supporting good guitarists. My ranges are broad. Love latin, afro cuban. My choice in playing would be a mix of Zep, Chili peppers funk, the blues, Hendrix, The who, Van Halen, AC/DC, Grunge,. Then again an evening of modern jazz, soul, Motown and real R&B would be cool also.
