First life as a musician was from age 10 through early post-college years. Following a very long hiatus, began playing the acoustic drum kit again in the early 2000s. In 2007 I joined a Celtic & Americana band and have been gigging an average of 3 or 4 times times a month with them ever since. With this band I generally play a world percussion set of my own design. I would like an outlet to perform using my acoustic drum set, particularly in a band playing Alt-Country, Americana, Roots Rock, etc.

Influences
I used to emulate Ginger Baker. These days my playing is a lot less bombastic. In recent years my interest has been focused on Country, Alt-Country and Americana. What I listen to: Dwight Yoakam, Reckless Kelly, Jason Boland, Cody Jinks, Lydia Loveless, Nikki Lane, Old Crow Medicine Show, Neko Case, Hard Working Americans, North Mississippi Allstars, Delbert McClinton, Jason Isbell, Drive-By Truckers, Steve Earle, Gov't Mule, Ryan Adams, Junior Brown, Little Feat, John Hiatt, Lyle Lovett, Old 97s, Wilco, Warren Zevon, etc.

EQUIPMENT
Vintage Ludwig & Slingerland acoustic drum kit. Sabian and Paiste cymbals. Shure instrument mics if sound reinforcement is neccessary. Also vocal mic for the occasional lead. 12" & 15" Mackie loudspeakers plus 18" subwoofer. Analog personal mixer. World percussion includes cajon, djembe, doumbek, Korg WaveDrum, bodhran, etc.
