After 14 wonderful years with The Outback Band, I retired in December of 2019. While I prefer to lay low in the wintertime, I'd be open to WELL PAYING fill-in gigs occasionally, weekends only. I'm willing to travel if necessary, but again, only for very good paying jobs. I simply prefer not to be locked into a band anymore.

53 years as a drummer, 39 years as a bassist. Lead or Harmony vocals on either instrument. Well versed in Country, Oldies, Motown, some R&B, some Southern Rock and some Classic Rock.

Fun-loving and very professional. Prefer skilled musicians who've left their egos, band politics and woman problems at the door. Available for studio work on a limited basis. I do not read music, preferring chord charts in the studio. I've had a LITTLE practice with the Nashville Numbers System, but not enough to be really proficient with it. With time, that could change.

While I've been friends with the Marlboro Man since the age of 13, I've never had drug or drinking problems. EVER. I also will not work with those who do. I still remember the distant past when I bailed drunken bandmates out of jail or them tossing their cookies in my car. Those days are over.

Treat me well and you won't find a more professional sideman. NOT interested in 3-Chord garage bands. Skilled pros ONLY.
