"I started playing clarinet as a freshman at St. Mary's in the High School Band. It only took 2 weeks for me to say this instrument isn't for me, It has no guts. So after a discussion with the band director, he had one opening for a Trombonist and I immediately said "I'm in". So I sat in 3rd chair initially but only for my freshman year. I was promoted to 1st chair trombonist in my sophomore year.
Over all as a musician I've had the privilege of playing with Chuck Berry, the Ike & Tina Turner Review, the Buckingham's, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Mark Lindsey from Paul Revere and the Raiders and Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers fame. I'm both blessed and fortunate to be able to be able to have experienced music like I have. Being a musician is something you are born with, it's a God given Talent." - Ken
