Lead guitarist. I can add a lot to different kind of projects - particularly it seems backing female vocalists. Very experienced in performance and in working within a group - interested in quality and meaningful material, committed and friendly bandmates. Genre fairly unlimited if the feeling is right - background is in classic rock, early on some classical and jazz, and I'm a solid jammer. Vids on this page give a fair slice of my playing and tone mostly w/ a mellow folk/rock cover band (Montana Soul). Just back from Portland area where I've been mostly for a few years percolating.

Time for something new. I'm really not now so interested in playing 70s classic rock or Dead covers for the oldsters. Lets do the hidden gems or something original and mind-meld and come up with a whole new thing. It's all been done - lets see what plays through us now. Have a dayjob but paying gigs are just fine - as musicians should be paid decently. No limits and ultimately no rules once we get off the ground, and I like it when they dance.

I learn and come up quickly with new ideas and patterns and would rather feel unbounded from hero-worship of guitar solos drilled into our brains - while looking for the groove that isn't the noodle. Lol. I could do very well in some kind of modern alternative psychedelic band like Tame Impala if you have the vision as a songwriter/singer. Looking for rapport more than for instant gigs - to explore and then develop something musically inspiring.

actually not so much "Yes" - thoroughly burnt out on them by the time I went to college. But I could imagine doing a cover of something progressive from that era like "Utopia Theme Song".
