My name is Kenny Wayne, and I am the builder for Kentucky Mojo Cigar Box Ukuleles. The profile picture on my account is of Sundance Head, season 11 winner of NBC's "The Voice" showing off his Kentucky Mojo Cigar Box Ukulele, backstage at The Grand Ole Opry. There is also a picture of Steve Johnson, drummer for Alabama Shakes and "The Mojo Roadshow" bassist , Dinkus Taylor (wearing a Ky Mojo tshirt), with 3 time grammy winners, Alabama Shakes! We are serious about making music! We build quality instruments for the working musician! You will see both of these instruments (as well as my own from a 1880's Cigar Box) sitting in the Ky Mojo shop, so you know these are real pictures of our work!
I am currently seeking a percussionist to play a cajon for a small trio featuring/to highlight the Cigar box Ukuleles, a UBass (ukulele sized bass) and cajon/perc. This is mostly for sh*tz n giggles at 1st, but as we progress I hope to do a few small patio gigs this summer where everyone can get paid. I have a couple of cajons ( a smaller travel cajon and a nice set up with a foot pedal for bass and extra perc stuff/ bells and whistles). I can not stress enough that this is for fun mostly, but you never know where we will show up! I am proficient on guitar, bass, drums, piano, ukulele, as well as several other instruments, and have recorded a lot of original music. Don't let the Ukulele fool you! HMU!
