Kerry started his professional career playing in the Baltimore/ Washington area over 40 years ago. An alumnus of Towson State University's famed jazz ensembles led by Hank Levy, Kerry has performed on stage and recorded with Ethel Ennis, Brenda Alford, Freddie Hubbard, Lin Biviano, The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and even Dan Ackroyd of Blues Brothers fame. Locally, Kerry has performed and/or recorded with many fine jazz, swing, blues, and rock groups including 20 years playing lead for the Powerhouse Big Band and most recently the Clipper City Crew (fka the Big Band Theory of Baltimore). In addition to big bands, Kerry has performed with Totally Confused and The Totally Hot Horns, Carey Ziegler's Expensive Hobby, Joyride, Mary Lou & The Untouchables, Fat Tuesday, 23 Skadoo and half gazillion other groups ranging from wedding bands to big bands. Kerry has performed at countless venues that have included The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Baltimore Artscape's Main Stage, Spike and Charlie's, and the 8x10, to a smattering of dives from New York to Philadelphia to too many joints in Fells Point & Baltimore to Virginia.
