ABOUT

I have been singing all of my life. I started singing in front of an audience since the age 5. I have done many shows, Festivals, fairs, and competittions my whole life. The most recent competition being Talent Quest, in 2006 I was named pop female champion put of Oklahoma allowing me to move on the the national finals in Laughlin NV. where I placed 6th. I have been doing karaoke shows in the local bars for a while now I have appeared in the Alison Scott Show, and many benefit concerts.I have been able to sing with many of the local bands including Jack Stowage and the Meaty Goodness Mystery Date, and Aranda. Hopefully through this site I can find a band, and be able to quit doing so much karaoke.

Thanks Chrissy

Influences

Okay, so I have many different kinds of music that inspired me. I couldn't just pinpoint it down to one genre. I love it all, and I grew up listening to it all. When I was younger I couldn't stand to be without my Madonna records. I would sing along with my mother to her Reba records, and rock out with my dad to The Beatles, and Led Zepplin, Rod Stewart and Genesis. I grew up Listening and singing Debbie Gibson and Tiffany. In Middle School I got rebellious and started listening to Nirvana and Pearl Jam. In high School I really got back into the Beatles and The Doors and Pink Floyd. I got into the music side of it and where that music would take you. Keep in mind I was not on drugs. I just thought it was neat that people could make music that could take you to a fantasy world, Or at least had a different aspect on how music could sound, these people made music that was not typical, not the norm, and they made it awesome to listen to. Toward the end of High school I started listening to more stuff I liked Marilyn Manson because he didn't care what people thought of him. He was not afraid to do anything, and that appealed to me. I also listened to NIN and Prodigy. I loved the way they crossed their music sorta with techno, I could actually listen to their music and be moved, because they would put so much into it, not only the lyrics. Although I still listen to alot of the stuff I listened to back then, I now listen to alot of blues, I love the way the singers get into their music and make you feel the way that they are feeling. They sing their songs with such feeling. I absolutely love Christina Aguilera. She is kind of a mixture of everything. She is not afraid to do anything, she feels her songs, she comes out with songs you can relate to, songs that move you. She is a true artist
