I have been playing guitar and bass for 45 years now. Professionally, I am mostly a bassist. I also play guitar, a little mandolin, banjo, violin, viola, basically anything with a string. Born and raised in a family country/bluegrass band, and of course turned to blues and rock as a teenager in the '70's. By college I was into Psychedelia and prog rock.
Today, I enjoy listening to all kinds of music (except Rap), and try to find the musicality in everything I hear.
Today, I write original progressive rock songs in the vein of Pink Floyd, Rush, Zeppelin, and Styx. I have a great drummer, and good friend in Derek Lentz. We have been playing together for years, and we are very tight together. We create a very 1970's rock sound, and try to stay true to that. I am looking for keyboards like Wakeman and Wright, and guitars like Gilmour, Lifeson, and Vai.
