Biography – Kevin Milton

Kevin is a Minnesota born drummer and recording artist is known best for his stints as the drummer with many Minnesota acts, including The Selections (whom he joined in 9th grade) Teaz (who began touring full-time three days after his High School graduation), The Works, The Scream, Go Wild, Roxbury Drive, Doug Allen & The Chicago Mob, and many others.

One act, in particular, Roxbury Drive, went on to be later discovered by Multi-Grammy-winning songwriter Dennis Morgan of Nashville. The band later recorded two CDs with Morgan’s songs and built an impressive following and opened for National Country stars.

After a job-transfer to Minneapolis in 2000, Milton hit the stage with such renowned Minneapolis acts like Black Water Alley, The MLC Band (With Paige Poyer), The Hillbilly Mafia, The After Hours Band, Scott Kaufman Band, along with a slew of fill-in dates for other acts. His first two Metro gigs, in fact, were with two National show bands: Doug Allen & The Chicago Mob and Brave New World.

In October 2014, Kevin was featured in Modern Drummer magazine as “Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants.” The publicity helped Kevin connect with national music veterans with whom he is still in frequent contact. He likens his set-up to an “accordion-style”, meaning he can adjust-up, or down the size of his configuration to accommodate the artist/act for whom he is currently employed. Kevin’s playing style is notable for his ability to play effortlessly to a click, backing tracks, loops, and other current technology.

In 2016 Kevin rejoined “Roxbury Drive”, now known simply as “Roxbury Band”. He is also an e-session drummer for Texas artist Joshua Michael. His Voice-Over experience includes local radio and cable TV ad’s as well as a recent V/O project for the European rock band Eden’s Curse. Kevin is available for local and National touring and voice-over work.
