ABOUT

Kevin is a singer/songwriter that currently resides in Providence, RI. He is the frontman for the local group The Stone Road Band.

Born and raised in Columbus, OH, Kevin became interested with music at a very early age. Having started a small band comprised of pencil boxes and trash cans for drums, an old Casio keyboard and a toy guitar, he felt the need to learn a real instrument. In 5th grade Kevin started playing the snare drum and quickly moved to a full drum kit the following year. Throughout high school he kept busy playing in the marching, concert and jazz bands. In the fall of 2000 he joined his first band, Fate Hates Us. The band had success playing local Columbus venues such as the The Newport Music Hall, Polaris Amphitheater, and had the opportunity to open for Ekoostik Hookah and Blues Traveler in the summer of 2002. They released their album "Based on a True Story" in December of 2001, and played throughout OH to support it in the spring and summer of 2002.

Kevin departed from Fate Hates Us in the fall of 2002. While searching for a new project it was then that he picked up the acoustic guitar and began writing his own material. He purchased his first looping machine and started to hit the stage as a solo act, playing local spots around The Ohio State University campus. In 2004 he moved to New England to finish his college degree while continuing to perform as a solo acoustic act.

Kevin continues to write and record his own material while fronting the local Providence group, The Stone Road Band. formed in the fall of 2016 the band is currently made up of Brian Lowe (drums), Phil Smith (bass) and Kevin's cousin Mike Horan (lead guitar).
