My name is Khaled (pronounced Hal-Lid -- like Salad).
I've played the guitar off and on since I was about 7. Had 4 or 5 lessons at that time, but mainly have learned from playing by myself. Have a little experience playing with a few guys. Have successfully completed about 10 or so original songs with a few friends over the years.
I have basic music theory knowledge, but at one time I was pretty advanced in the subject. But, if you don't use it, you lose it and all that.
I would like to get a band together to play original and/or cover tunes. I would like to sing, guitar, and/or keyboard in this band. I like the idea of members being flexible in their approach to the music and they're role in making it. A singer doesn't have to be front and center, and everyone can sing. The drummer shojuld be given GREAT CREATIVE CONTROL if desired.
I'd like to play with some people. And if you're up to it, let's get in shape to play out.
