I played music for years and I know I have good talent in that area, but I now want to expand, explore, and experience others' talents and styles. I want to help out others in any way I can through music.
Piano Skills:
I started playing piano when I was 6 and half. I have been playing classical music my whole life and have done some accompaniment for choirs. Classical piano playing has taught me to play with color and emotion, and I feel I do that well. I played many tough pieces from Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and others that take months to practice.
Now this summer I am working hard on my improvisatory and sight reading skills. This is so I can read music faster or just to play chords on the spot so i can quickly help anyone who needs it so that I don't need to spend time to go home to practice. I am currently practicing at least 3 hours in a day, 5 days a week.
I don't play piano outside my house much but I am willing to help anyone who needs it.
Drumkit/Percussion Skills:
I started playing the drumset when i was 14. I started off by playing rock music on my iPod. I learned to play without sheet music (improvisation), but I haven't done much sheet reading for percussion or drumkit, (kinda opposite from piano) but i would if someone gave me some.
I am now playing every week with a church praise team. I also play in La Sierra University Wind Ensemble and Orchestra playing percussion and piano. I don't practice much on the kit, just about 2 hours a week, but I spontaneously practice on a desk or on whatever is in front of me working new rhythms and steadiness.

EQUIPMENT
Piano:
I have a piano at home of course, but I DON'T have a portable keyboard. I wish I did but I can't get one since I don't have a good income. (unless i get one for my birthday or something)
Drums/Percussion:
I have a five piece drumkit with the usual cymbals (hi-hat, ride, and crash) plus another crash and a china. I also have a double bass pedals.
I have drumsticks of course but I also have timpani sticks, and xylophone sticks
