My name is Kevin Johnson. I recently moved to Lakeland, FL from IL, and am interested in finding some other like minded musicians to collaborate with. I have been a guitarist for 15+ years, playing both electric and acoustic guitars in a couple of different bands in that time. I do have some experience with both recording and playing live, though for the past 4-5 years I have really just been playing for fun. I enjoy playing covers, as well as writing originals, though lately I have been writing and practicing more with original material that I would love to explore and develop further. While I am comfortable with playing both rhythm or lead guitar, I am not a very good singer, so I would be looking for a vocalist (either male or female, or possibly both), as well as a drummer, bass player, and pianist. In the past I've mainly played and written rock/alternative rock songs, though lately I've been playing and writing more southern rock/country style songs.
