ABOUT

KK found his home with the choir class starting in second grade. He continued singing with school choirs throughout his senior year of high school. He sang in various concerts in the "studio choir" and the regular high school choir cementing his passion for performing.

Following the choir years, KK started singing for local heavy metal bands - the music of the times. KK's philosophy is simple: "Entertaining audiences and making people happy is one of the greatest gifts a person can give."

These days, KK loves singing the classics of Southern Rock, Grunge, Classic Rock, and even some of the older crooners in the baritone range. He is seeking bands that do originals or covers in these genres.

When KK takes the stage he displays an ease and comfort that is befitting the role of a front man and a lead singer. His love of performance and entertaining can be seen as soon as he takes the microphone.

Influences

My first albums were ALL Beatles. But influences around me as a young'in immersed me in Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Yes, The Who, and so many others.

But then came the 80's! Judas Priest, Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Suicidal Tendencies which I fervently sang and relished, right, like on a hot dog, get the fu*k outta here... ;-)

So that rocked for quite awhile, about a decade or so, and the Grunge masters laid me out like a heroin junkie with powerful highs and smooth sounds from Bush, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, and a few others that fit well with my voice. Lately I've also been enjoying singing blues and southern rock.

But at the heart of it all was the crooners of yore that really felt comfortable and soothing when singing Martin, Sinatra, Crosby, although his deep voice is challenging, and others of that genre spill out of my throat now and then.
