The Son Of The Ledger Lenny Curtis Kelvin Harrison ( Kk The Drummer ) started playing drums at the age of 10 watching his older cousin Harold ( Bae) Taylor play snare drum on NY Classics marching band . Kk started beating on walls pots pan anything he can find to try to play like his cousin. When relocate from 169 st and Washington Ave he move to the west side of The Bronx when he went to Dr Roland Patterson elementary jr high school CES/CIS 229 when he saw the school drummer Mark Buford play Kk got hooked watch every step every move until he saw him playing the same way in air drums. Kk walk over to one of his good friends Eric ( Dj Spice Nice) that was cool with the leader of the band ( Walter Tart ) that gave him a chance on that day of the band performance it became a battle that was Kk first time ever playing drums . When Kk step on stage people laugh because of his thick glasses. Kk proceed to get on the drums and that is when the crowd went wild Kk ran home to his building in River Park Towers. He told his older brother that was also a Dj Jimmy ( Dj Kojack) Harrison his brother was happy and said its in your blood . Kk brother was going to parties at 1520 Sedgwick Ave host by Dj Kool Herc Kojack join up with a group of guys Dj Ice from RPT and start playing records in RPT and Cedar Park when Kk heard this beat not from James Brown & Captain Sky ( super sperm) and he started playing that beat on the table until he was approached by drum teacher Mr E Besley and Mr H Colon Kk started focus on his craft staying after school playing drums then he went to church on sunday and saw ( Morris Williams )that done the most incredible thing playing double bass drum in church Kk became a hulk he watch and learn under Morris for 10 yrs Kk was introduced to his first recording on drums with Hip Hop groups Kk was honor to meet so many artist that start in hip hop until he found trouble in the law when his uncle made him a runner. Kk join The NY Classic playing under his cousin ( Bae ) when Kk ask can he play snare his cousin told him he is not ready to take the place of the 3 Kenny's ( Kenny T , Kenny N, Kenny S) lol When his cousin Kenny ask what is wrong Kk told him that he wasn't good enough to play snare .Then Kk was ask to join the NY drum and bugle corp NY Lancers after rehearsal he was also ask to join the Blue Devils Kk agree until 1 yr Kk was ask to record but didn't know how the music biz work he never got paid Kk turn to the life of the streets when he started to get in more trouble with the law Kk felt his Rastafari roots would not approve Kk walked away and started to be more in the streets selling cocaine heroin ,one of Kk closes friends he taught how to play drums was a dj Kk start rapping become one of the best free style Mc in his hood battling anyone until they made a hip hop song called Kk Nice & Ez with Dj Double Jay and beat box Buck Weezy Kk got more stronger in battle rap until this guy from Harlem came in RPT ask to battle anyone( Bacardi Rob aka Robbie O )they battle for 7hrs Kk became his Dj until Rob went to Harlem sign with Bad Boy under the name Black Rob. When New Edition came in RPT they was all hanging around Kk start a male group after seeing his school mates from Undercliff was in the Candy Girl video Kk felt he needed to do something big when he started a band called(Infinity) in CIS229 with the lead singer (Rahsaad Patterson )they enter a talent show that landed them in 2nd place at the talent show on 165 st in The Bronx on Grand Concourse one of lead singers cousin came to RPT and told him she want him to be part of a tv show called (Kids Incorporated) Kk felt disappointment he felt everyone made it but not him so he turn back to.the streets when he created a gang called NBC ( nigga be cool) & TTM ( tiny trouble makers) to keep any other gangs from coming and destroying the hood . They hung at Roberto Clemente State Park where everyone hung out they skated, playing tag , swim boxing, fencing, wrestling , Martial Arts .Kk met up with his cousin in Brooklyn John Green Kk start his group called King of all kings after Haile Selassie they cut they first single ( Its All Over) Kk cousin and now one of the top comedian Miles Green was the Dj because he wanted the Big Daddy Kane look so he got to dance Speedo & Ty the song started to make noise and ppl was loving it when more disappointment came his way the lost of his older brother Dj Kojack Kk started playing drums and when he receive the biggest award in his school for being the student teacher in percussion Kk was ask to return to the studio but still never knew until.his uncle the late great Wilbert Harrison told him about the music biz but not the financial side Kk started back on drums he felt his talent was the reason why he never made it big Kk didnt know his beats was on other artist records when he met Papa Jo Jones and Kk felt he was to help others after all his ups and downs Kk got back on stage after losing is mother April 3rd 2006 he relocated to Houston Tx when he was called to play in a reggae fest and recording Kk played with artist such( Chris Gardner ,Sarah Dash, Kat St John ,Heavy D. Al B Sure, Mona Moore ,Yolanda Adams ,Nya Crea, Funk Four Plus 1 More ,Enjolee Williams, Ahz Moses, Sydnee Jane , Carmen Santiago ,Errol Bonnicks, Bryant Art, Kk is now doing his own music team up with one of his band mate MD his sister Roc Mecabih and CEO Queen Cilla B of Unity4life19 Records to bring his brand and drum style Kk is one of the top 100 drummer in the world .His Goal is to bring love and fun back to music keep people dancing and feeling happy Kk The Drummer Tafari will not stop until the top is full .Kk single (Breakfast N Bed) feat Uriel and Saxtone from the legendary Zapp and created a very beautiful song also with reggae artist out of Jamaica Garfield Treasure (Look In Your Eyes) also EDM dance song with Roc. Mecca (Epic) and soulful (illusion Trap) new single with r&b icon Raja Nee.( Island Fantasy) and i am also a big fan I will keep pushing
