Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar.

I've played bass as a hobby for well over a decade and have been playing in a Northwest suburban bar band for approx. 2 years. Our guitar player is leaving to focus on his other band, so we are looking for a good rhythm/lead guitarist. We have a very good female vocalist and a strong drummer. Looking for someone that's easy to get along with, is willing to play a variety of music and have a good time (not really in it for the money). Looking to practice weekly and gig 10-12 X per year.

I love most genres (all varieties of metal, new and classic rock, some modern jazz, etc.), but our band primarily covers modern rock/alternative (No Doubt, Modest Mouse, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Black Keys), grunge-era rock (AIC, Pearl Jam, Soul Asylum) and classic rock (Zep, Stones, Sabbath). We also throw in some more obscure covers of songs by the Cure, Rhianna, Kelly Clarkson, etc.

I play Jazz, Musicman and Precision style basses through an Aguilar 350 Tonemaster and have two 12" Aguilar cabs. Our drummer has 2 kits (electric and acoustic) and we also have a 400W PA with two 15" mains and two 12" wedges. We practice in a really nice finished basement in Algonquin.
