I mainly play hand percussion but can also hold it down on a kit fairly well. I like to play funk, afobeat, hip hop, latin, live electronica, jam band, reggae, rock, and country, as well as fusions of any of those genres, but am open to whatever is fun or a good fit. I really enjoy improvisational playing, but I also take direction well and learn quickly. Open to gigging and recording, or just jamming. Over the years I've played percussion in jam band (sounded like Guster and Dave Matthews Band), played djembe in a West African drum ensemble, and played marimba, cajon, and congas in a Zimbabwean marimba/mbira group.
