Looking for help with an art rock/prog rock project. Mostly just play rhythms and melodies on guitar and bass atm, interested in improving my musical ability, knowledge of music theory, etc. I have a lot of ideas for experimentation, albums, artwork, and concepts that I would like to try out and record with some solid musicians. No current experience with recording or gigging.

1. Progressive rock bands such as:
-Soft Machine
-Jethro Tull
-King Crimson

2. Scottish folk band Alba

3. Shoegazing and blackgazing

4. Celtic folk music in general (especially Scottish)

5. The DIY ethic, but with prog sensibilities instead of punk sensibilities. I like the idea of being artistically self-sufficient
