For over 35 years, the Lake Jazz Band has been entertaining Lake of the Ozarks area listeners and dancers with the sounds of big band music.
The Lake Jazz Band is a traditional 18-piece band (saxophones, trombones, trumpets, piano, guitar, bass, drums & vocalist). With a library of over 350 charts, our music ranges from the swing-era standards including Basie, Ellington, and Miller, to Latin, Rock, and Contemporary.
We play for dances, charity events, birthday and anniversary parties, wedding receptions, client and employee appreciation events, and as entertainment at your local venues.
We are a not-for-profit, volunteer ensemble. No individual pay is involved. We play for the love of playing big band jazz. The honorariums and donations that the band receives are used to cover our operating expenses, buy and maintain our equipment, buy music, and support jazz education.
We rehearse twice a month and average one or two performances per month.
