I just moved to Tampa and I'm looking to start or join an original band/recording group. I'm a songwriter, rhythm and lead guitarist, backup/occasional lead singer (nothing special tho), bassist, and music producer and audio engineer. I have pretty much every piece of equipment needed to equip a band and record professional quality songs, but obviously I assume you have some of your own instruments and gear.
I would hope that we can all become great friends as well because it’s so much more fun and productive making music when that’s the case. Before I left NJ, my band unfortunately all had to move away which really sucked since they became my best friends so I would love to create something like that again.
Hopefully we would write music that is a mix of songs by artists like The 1975, Peach Pit, Pinegrove, The Districts, Avicii, and a bit of Twenty One Pilots. I'm down to incorporate all sorts of genres into our music but there are a few I don’t really care for/have no experience in.
For some more clarity I'm thinking a mix of genres mainly alt rock, pop rock, folk rock, electronic, with a touch of reggae and hip hop/rap at times.
