I've played tuba for 12 years. I can read, memorize, and play by ear. I'm certainly not opposed to getting paid, but I'm open to playing for fun. I don't make my living playing. I can gig 1 night per week consistently, 2 some of the time. I've experienced a variety of ensembles and genres. I'm open to trying whatever you do. I want to make friends and enjoy performing. If you think your ensemble could use an instrument with a 4 octave range that can serve rhythm and melodic functions, has a big, heavy low range, and sounds sweet played up high, give me a chance. A tuba can do more than you probably think.
