ABOUT

Looking for a band. I've been playing solo or with staff bands for 35 years. I'm not the world's best singer. I'm not the best musician. I seek to surround myself with players who are better than I am for a special and worthwhile project. Players who don't have a place to play and are unable or unwilling for family or other reasons to play the clubs anymore.
I love the feeling reminicent of barn dances and "play parties" that predated the Grand 'ol Opry.
I'm looking to create a showcase venue for local talent, an art gallery for performing arts, if you will.
Looking for solid, mature,(oldies but goodies enthusiastically welcomed) but flexible players who would love have a family friendly place to play on Saturday night, which in my opinion, was made for music.

Influences

My dad, Jerry Williams,
Jean Shepard, Minnie Pearl, eddie stubbs. Every good 'ol boy and girl whom I have played with and seen love spark from their voices and fingertips from the joy of making music.
All of the men and women at The Roundup in NE arkansas who have stuck together, improved, made so many people happy by providing a place to hear live music on Saturday nights. They are heros. OH, let me not forget Brenda, who pops pounds and pounds of popcorn.

Members Of Band

Just me and my kid, right now in Central Arkansas. This is an effort to meet some mature, solid players for project described above.
