When it comes to learning covers, I'm a quick study.
That said, I have come from a long line of original projects. I have played on some legendary stages, like CBGB NYC, The Whisky A Go-Go Hollywood, Pappy & Harriet's Joshua Tree, Maxwell's Hoboken and the grand opening of Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer in Las Vegas... just to name a few.
I currently play bass for the all-female Rolling Stones tribute, Honky Tonk Women. We are currently looking for a female guitarist and keyboardist.
I am the lead vocalist for Lynette SheByrd, a tribute to Southern Rock. Lynette is always looking for musicians who love to play Southern Rock. The band only rehearses when we have upcoming gigs.
In either case, playing in a tribute band requires a certain level of commitment to the material. So it helps to dig the music. And that's precisely what drives me to dig into this iconic material. Playing in a tribute band is one of the best ways a musician can showcase her skills.
