Influences
The songs / sounds range from Aretha Franklin gospel, New Orleans funk, e.g.: Meters, and other funk stylists from Sly and Curtis to Charles Wright, Greazy Meal, Anthony Hamilton, Herbie Hancock, to Exile on Main Street and Black Crowes' Southern Harmony to old/new blues innovators to - if you know funk, you know what I'm talkin about.
Members Of Band
we are currently a rhythm section with drums and keyboards, with keys doubling as bass.
With other previous projects done separtely, we've played hundreds of gigs with different groups.
EQUIPMENT
We rehearse in a well-equipped home studio. Drums, keys, and vocals are miked, and tracks are available for other instruments into and Alesis Studio32 board, through a MOTU 896HD and into a Mac Powerbook G4 running DP4.5 via FireWire. We have the 'tape running' for all of our rehearsals and review via Mackie Studio monitors.
