I'm looking for a long-term bassist and drummer to join my NYC-based band. This position is open to everyone, but priority will be given to femmes, queer folk, & sex workers.
ABOUT YOU:
- At least 21 years old, with experience playing on stage
- Punctual w/excellent communication skills
- Willing to promote the band
- Desire to work in a band culture that is pro-queer, pro-sex worker, pro-fat, pro-trans, & anti-white supremacy
ABOUT THE LEILAH FEINSTEIN BAND:
We are a 4-5 piece alt-pop/rock band (me on vocals, plus guitar, bass, drums, and sometimes keys). We play my original music with the occasional cover song, and try to book 1 show a month in NYC. We rehearse once a week (time & location set according to everyone's schedule). We prioritize paid bookings, but currently also play shows where pay is a cut of the door profits. Our goal is to acquire paid traveling gigs by 2024, and we are gearing up to record & release new music on a regular basis.
ABOUT ME:
I'm a poet, singer, and stripper. My sound is a blend of electronic, pop, and vintage rock, with influences from my world travels and decade inside the adult industry.
