ABOUT

I played in band in jr high & high school, so I'm familiar with sheet music. After high school started playing guitar and played it several years before setting it aside to raise a family. Picked it up again a few years ago and I am playing for the church. I would like to get with a band to play Christian Contemporary and Christian Traditional, but also to have fun playing some of the more inspirational songs that can be found in Classic Rock. I'm not opposed to getting with folks to form something new either.

Influences

Hillsong, MercyMe, Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, and the like are the type of Christian musicians I tend to listen to....Triumph, Journey, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Loverboy, Aerosmith, Jefferson Airplane,...you know, those 70's bands, these are the kind of bands that got me interested in guitar. I have C&W groups that I like as well, like Waylon Jennings, Bellamy Brothers, Brookes & Dunn, Conway Twitty, Dwight Yoakum and of course Gary Stewart, but I'm not so sure I want to get into that kind of music. I don't have much experience with southern gospel, but I'm not opposed to learning some of it.

EQUIPMENT

Takemine electric acoustic & just purchased an Ibanez Artcore Af55. Have access to a Peavey 60 watt keyboard and acoustic amp. Have a few pedals...stereo chorus, delay, and distortion. Have a Casio Keyboard but I wouldn't call it performance quality, more like a beginner's learn to play model.
