ABOUT

LexJam is a monthly community jam-session at Natasha's on Esplanade in downtown Lexington whose sponsors funded the purchase of a full stage-rig (drums, guitar/bass amps, keyboard, full sound system). These sessions have spawned at least three bands with more beginning to form. Players of all levels are more than welcome. Sign-in and when a slot opens, sit in!

Past Events

Local student-run public station WRFL is out to boost its power and become a major community force. Help them out by attending a fundraiser/concert at the Kentucky Theater on the evening of April 22.
The doors open at 6:30pm and the first band will start at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10, available at the door. Hear five bands:

1. Some Other Meanness (alt. country blues)
2. Old Vine Street Social & Pleasure Club (New Orleans funk/blues)
3. Soul Patch (original blues)
4. The Blue Dawg (bluegrass)
5. UK Graduate Jazz Combo

Two Lexjam-outgrowth bands, Some Other Meanness (Alt.country-blues) and the Old Vine Street Social & Pleasure Club (N'awlins-flavored funk & blues)
Al's is the real deal. Located on N. Limestone and 6th. Music starts at 9:30pm

Monthly Saturday afternoon community jam-session, 1-5pm at ArtsPlace on N. Mill St. in downtown Lexington. Opportunity for musicians of all levels to mingle, play and listen. Several bands have already evolved in Lexjam's first year.
Full sound system plus guitar/bass amps, keyboards and drums provided.
