ABOUT

WE'RE CURRENTLY AUDITIONING NEW GUITARISTS!

Let Fall the Sparrow is equal parts post rock, post punk, experimental and indie. Our sound is both ethereal and driving, moving between quiet melodic moments and intense sonic builds.

We're currently gigging regularly in the San Francisco Bay Area. We're looking to expand our fan base nationally and, eventually, internationally. We're serious and are looking to record more material and tour in the near future.

We'd like someone who can play quietly, sensitively and atmospherically but can also play with intensity and "noise", often within the same song.

We need someone who'll be able to play our old songs (the current guitarist can help with this process), as well as someone with strong collaborative songwriting abilities with which to write new material. Please be comfortable with non-traditional song structures and with sometimes working in time signatures outside of 4/4 (3/4 & 6/8 for now, but perhaps more to come!).

It's also important that you be a serious, dedicated musician looking to do more than just play in the local scene. This means at least 2 - 3 rehearsals a week. Obviously this also means that you'll need to have a work situation that will allow you to gig in town, as well as to leave town to gig or tour sometimes.

We're down-to-earth and pretty easy to get along with. So please also be a decent communicator, and not have the stereotypical rock musician attitude/narcissism.

Finally, please don't have substance abuse problems (of course people in recovery are always welcome). We enjoy our beers and such as much as the next band. But we don't drink very much at all when it comes to rehearsals and gigs (after we've played said gig can, of course, be a different story). What you do on your own time is none of our business, but it shouldn't interfere with the band in any way. So that pretty much precludes certain hard drugs--the unfortunate undoing of many a great musician.

If you can hang with all that, hit us up. We'd love to hear from you and set up an audition.
