Mo, MTV mainstay Tabi Bonney and himself to find â??The Lipstickâ??. 11 young ladies competed for the position and the contest generated over 14,000 votes in just under 3 weeks. The competition spurred thousands of hits to .lipstickandcongas and received shout outs from The Godfather of Go - Go â??Chuck Brownâ??, Backyard & HBO The Wireâ??s â??Big Gâ??, 2011 Grammy nominated soul singer â??Carolyn Malachiâ?? and more.

With L&C Johns continues his quest to marry the percussive heartbeat of the nationâ??s capital with a more mainstream sound and show the world the power of DC Go - Go

William â??Malachaiâ?? Johns also known as â??Reddsâ?? is a Manager/Producer/Musician/Entrepreneur and veteran of the DC Go â?? Go scene, playing lead guitar for bands like Northeast Groovers, SOULO, The What band and with bands like Backyard and Optimystic Trybe. In 2003 he jumped into management as creator of the Go â?? Go crossover group, Mambo Sauce. Formed in 2011, his new company 7070 Group LLC represents his new group Lipstick & Congas and bounce beat producer/artist Mr. Drew.

Johns, a cancer survivor has also worked in concert and event promotion with Vootie Productions and with his own company Malfunktions. He has also worked in radio at 97.5 KVEG in Las Vegas and WPGC 95.5 in Washington DC. In 2011, Johns was elected to sit on the Board of Governors for the DC Chapter of the Recording Academy (Grammys).
