Little October

ABOUT

Male singer in early 30's, looking for like-minded musicians to start a new indie-rock project (using the title "Little October" as a placeholder) in the Brooklyn/Manhattan area.My previous band just called it quits after a few years, and ready to dive right back in to write new songs, start rehearsing, and eventually start gigging.

Although I'm a vocalist by trade (10+ years), I can also play basic acoustic guitar, keys, and secondary percussion if needed.

I have seeds for a few new songs, but what I'm really looking for are collaborative & creative folks to shape the band's identity (aka no hired guns). Very open to all arrangements from standard rock instrumentation, to incorporating slightly less conventional instruments such as accordions, horns, etc. For example, I love the idea of a synth-driven outfit with textured, dreamy qualities, (e.g., Future Islands), however most importantly looking for good folks who love to play and can bring their own unique talents and tastes to create something freshly unexpected.

I have access to a rehearsal space in Williamsburg with enough amps, kits, and toys. And there is plenty of mic to go around, as I'm huge proponents for harmonies and layered vocals, so vocal ability is a big plus.
