Band to Join.

27 year old vocalist looking for LA musicians, bands, songwriters to collaborate with.
While I would love to team up and make music on a professional level, I am also excited by the possibility of meeting people to rock out with for fun, practice, etc.
I'm originally from the Boston Area, though attended college in Missoula, MT and only moved to LA recently.

My performance background is mainly in Musical Theater, with a few small-scale exceptions.

I have a rather signifiant amount of studio experience and have had the opportunity to sing alongside very experienced and talented musicians, as well as successful engineers. I have not been in-studio for several years (though I do record on my own, with my own equipment) and would like very much to make singing and making music a regular part of my life once again, as it is where my greatest passion has always been.

Additionally, in the past I was fortunate to have been a member of two all-female a cappella groups, both which were competitive amongst similar groups on the East Coast. I have experience in arranging, performing and "teaching" singers/beatboxers the basics of both. If you or anyone you know is looking to start a group, or take on an additional member, I'm all in!

No diva attitude here. All pipe dreams aside, I am here to meet people who share my passion for music and who would like to collaborate for fun and see here it leads.

Though my favorite artists come from all every corner of the music world, the following artists have been most influential to me as a vocalist, whether it be technically, stylistically or both:
Natalie Merchant, Melissa Etherige, Dusty Springfield, The Supremes, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, The Beach Boys, Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Taj Mahal

I'm fortunate to have excellent recording equipment and a beautiful piano.
I recently purchased Native Instruments Maschine and it's undeniably awesome, though I wouldn't mind making a friend who really knows how the use it to its full potential ;)

Also, I live in a 100% amp-friendly environment and have space to accommodate several musicians and their instruments.
