LJ Cooper studied guitar under Bob Knezevich, Chris Wemple, Jeff Beck, and gospel from Rev. Larry Young. He performed with the Galaxy and Masquerade bands. Later he became master producer and managed several R&B and gospel touring groups. Now, he teaches and plays at church where he is also a deacon and manages and performs with the Christian Brothers gospel group. He is yet performing, recording and teaching young children and mentoring at Palmyra Street Productions studio and Because Wee Care Learning Academy.

New Orleans, Jazz, Gospel Music, the blues, soul music, my grand mother Alice Williams playing the Mississippi delta blues on her flat bottom guitar, my uncle JC Williams playing his harmonica and the guitar, "Oh Baby" and "Big Boss Man", and being on stage with my cousin the great blues guitarist, Little Freddie King playing the blues, the ultimate performer.
