Played in road bands for many years and have done studio as a band member and as a sideman. Not looking to tour/ travel but local area/ statewide would be okay. I have an open mind, very much open to new ideas and styles. In addition to drumset I also play some hand percussion. Can play hard and loud or break out the brushed or rods and give things a softer touch. I am not locked into any style of playing or of music. No drugs or drama.

Influences
I really admire the studio players. Hal Blaine, Bernard Purdie, Al Jackson, Steve Jordan, etc. Many of the jazz players, especially Brian Blade, Peter Erskin and Gene Krupa ( for his joy in playing). Bill Bruford ( who is both inspiring and terrifying at the same time!) John Bonham of course. There are so many good players out there. Everyone you hear can teach you something.
