Loretta "LoGray" Burnette began singing at the impressionable age of 8. It was at this time she discovered her love for music could provide an escape from her rough surroundings. Loretta being the middle child of five always knew she wanted to perform. After taking the advice of her mother to always stay driven it began to take her life in a new direction from the norm. Loretta would enter into many community talent contests and won most of them. When Loretta entered into high school where drama class and chorus was offered, she felt like she was in heaven. Loretta took full advantage of them both and her drama teacher told her she was a natural. She remembers the great feeling of winning 3rd place in a 30-group talent contest. Loretta would go on to setting her sights on 1st place from then on. Now with encouragement and confidence that she could do anything she worked hard at she was on her way to many great adventures.Currently, Loretta is a songwriter, recording artist and actress. You may have seen her on television shows such as HBO's The Wire, HBO's Game Change and Netflix House of Cards. Movies like Line of Fire, Die Hard IV, National Treasures, The Visiting and a host of commercials,industrials, promos and print.Loretta also ads to her credit Independent films like Joe's Auto, Water Is Not Enough – Short Film, Scavenger Hunt, and the Museum. Water Is Not Enough – Full Feature, displays her acting as well as singing talents. The release for this film is December 2014.She now has to her credit performing on a cruise ship winning the 1st place trophy for “Best Vocalist” and also singing in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and performing live at Sherry Gordy’s “Take The Stage” in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition, Loretta is the lead vocalist for Special Edition Band from 2002 to present ://.eastcoastentertainment/artist_mobile/special-edition.
