ABOUT

I have been a musician my whole life and have been performing with my group, Lookin’ For Trouble, for the last 8 years. In that time, the group had done very well – opened for groups such as The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Charlie Musselwhite, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Eric Sardenas, Tommy Castro & the Painkillers and many others. We’ve sold music all over the world, had songs in the blues charts, played all over Southern California and were even inducted into the Los Angeles Blues Hall of Fame as a “Great Blues Band”. The band was based in Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley area, but I recently moved from there to Menifee in September 2018, and will be starting over with a new group of musicians and would like to find a female blues/rock singer. I'm looking for someone talented, but easy-going, who has that “need” to perform. I would prefer someone who has experience, but if you are a talented new-comer, don't hesitate to contact me. A little about the group…

My philosophy on creating a blues band is that most of the blues bands out there do the same thing and don’t break any new ground. I am a music producer/recording engineer/composer/arranger for a living and what I do for the music of Lookin’ For Trouble is take classic blues tunes from the 20’s to the present and give the songs fresh, new arrangements and really make them our “own”. I also include original music in our sets. The music tends to have a little harder edge, but it is a mix of ballads, medium tempo & some real rockin’ tunes. If I had to give some styles I would say we lean more towards Joe Bonamassa, Beth Hart, Tedeschi-Trucks, Tommy Castro, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc.

I don’t really have a preference for gigs, but anything that sounds fun, I’m in – clubs, wineries, corporate events, bars, etc. Making money is always good, but if you need this to make a living, this may not be your band. But if you have a love of music, open to new ideas, have a good work ethic & decent chops, drop me a note. I had a ProTools studio in L.A. and will be building a new one in my new home, so we will be doing some recording as well. To get a feel for the group, visit our site and then contact me via email, text or give me a call. I've listed my business site too so you an see what I'm all about. I'm a nice person to work with, love playing and creating music, and hope you do as well!
