Hi! I recently moved to Austin from Denver, CO where I played mandolin in a Latin band there. I have an extremely good ear for picking and soloing on the mandolin. I grew up playing piano and took lessons for about 10 years, studying theory and classical piano. I am looking for people to jam with and/or also for a band to join or start up. I have a few original songs and am in the process of writing a few more, but I enjoy learning other's originals and playing covers.

Phish. I love Phish. A lot. That being said, I don't really play much Phish on the mandolin, nor do I consider myself to sound very Phishy in my improvisation. Also love the Grateful Dead, String Cheese Incident, and some of the bands that I do cover are The Eagles and Led Zeppelin. Jeff Austin of the Yonder Mountain String Band has been one of my biggest influences in mandolin playing. I consider myself a very melodic and rhythmically variable mandolista.

Instrument experience:

Eastman MD305 with K&K Twin pickup but my real baby is a 1968 Gibson EM200. This is a solid body, electric 8-string mandolin with a P90 pickup.

I use a Boss delay and TC Electronic chorus pedal with my Gibson.
